Carton Sonore est un projet du parisien Pierre Chandeze, en activité depuis 2008.
Le projet a démarré un peu à la manière d’un carnet de croquis avec l’intention de créer des instantanés musicaux. Cette démarche a donné naissance la série des Petits Thèmes instrumentaux, mêlant diverses sonorités : instruments « ordinaires », folkloriques, jouets et percussions de fortune.
Parallèlement, des morceaux ont commencé à éclore spécifiquement pour les concerts, avec la participation d’autres musiciens. Après avoir muri et évolué pendant trois années, ces morceaux ont été enregistrés et sortent cette année dans un nouvel album Kind Regards from the Land of Wander, qui conserve son lot de sonorités atypiques en les appliquant cette fois-ci à des compositions plus pop.
Created in 2008 by Pierre Chandeze, Carton Sonore’s project began like a sketchbook with the intention of creating musical snapshots. This process gave birth to the Petits Themes instrumental series, mixing different sounds : « ordinary » instruments, folk and ethnical instruments, toys and improvised percussions.
A the same time, new songs specially created for live shows began to be developed with other musicians. After three years of musical maturation and evolution, this songs have been recorded and are released this year on a new album called Kind Regards from the Land of Wander. This album brings its fresh share of unusual sounds dedicated this time to pop songs.
