Once upon a time Jean-Paul Sartre died, followed by Ian Curtis a few months later – but G. Mendelson was born in between. Never worked as hard as the first, never died as soon as the second, but still managed to become an artist somehow. Spasmodic Joy is a bedroom project he initiated a few years ago. It went through different bedrooms and approaches then, all of them turning out to sound more folkish on stage.
